Kate Cooper, professor of ancient history at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, will give a lecture Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 101 of the Miller Learning Center.
Open free to the public, Cooper’s lecture, “The Women of Early Christian Africa,” is being hosted by the classics department, which is part of the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. The lecture at UGA is in conjunction with a tour of Cooper’s newly released book Band of Angels: The Forgotten World of Early Christian Women.
A reception in the fourth floor rotunda of the Miller Learning Center will follow the lecture. Copies of Band of Angels will be available for purchase at the reception.
