Three finalists for the position of dean of the College of Engineering at UGA will visit campus this month to meet with members of the university community.
A search committee chaired by Svein Oie, dean of the College of Pharmacy, conducted a national search to identify the finalists. The committee was assisted by the search firm Witt/Kieffer.
Each finalist will make a public presentation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Driftmier Auditorium. The finalists and the dates of their presentations are:
• Donald Leo, professor of mechanical engineering and vice president and executive director of the National Capital Region operations of Virginia Tech, March 18;
• Mark Law, professor of electrical and computer engineering and associate dean for academic affairs at the University of Florida College of Engineering, March 25; and
• Daniel Schwartz, Boeing-Sutter Professor and chair of the chemical engineering department at the University of Washington College of Engineering, March 27.
