David P. Landau, Distinguished Research Professor and director of the Center for Simulational Physics, presented an invited lecture at the spring meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Francisco.
His presentation was entitled “Monte Carlo Simulations of Systems with Complex Energy Landscapes: At the Intersection of Statistical Physics and Biochemistry.” It was part of a symposium on Generalized Ensemble methods. The research that Landau described included results obtained in a collaboration between the Center for Simulational Physics and the Institute of Bioinformatics at UGA.
