Earth Day at UGA, sponsored by the Energy Conservation Executive Committee, Physical Plant and UGA Unplugged, will run from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. April 23 at the Tate Student Center Plaza. The celebration is part of the university’s initiative to encourage energy conservation and environmental awareness on campus. There will be several demonstrations and displays about conservation initiatives including environmentally friendly alternative fuels, storm water management, recycling and composting.
