Anneliese Singh, associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Mary Frances Early College of Education, recently received the Association of Specialists in Group Work Fellows Award. The award was presented at the organization’s annual conference held in Puerto Rico.
Singh received the award for her scholarship, teaching and advocacy in the field of group work. She led the development of ASGW resources including the “Multicultural and Social Justice Competence Principles in Group Work” and “Ten Strategies to Intentionally Use Group Work to Transform Hate, Facilitate Courageous Conversations, and Enhance Community Building.”
ASGW is a division of the American Counseling Association. Singh received the ACA Fellows Award—the highest honor awarded by the association—last year for contributions to the counseling profession.
