Fanning staffer awarded USG grant to support EMBARK

David Meyers, a public service assistant at the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development, was awarded $95,193 by the University System of Georgia through the College Access Challenge Grant
to help support EMBARK, a campus-based program of support for homeless and foster youth at UGA and a statewide network of USG, technical colleges and community organizations.

The goal of EMBARK is to give underrepresented students—including those who have been homeless or in foster care—the resources they need to obtain a college degree.
