Finalists chosen for dean of UGA College of Family and Consumer Sciences

Athens, Ga. – Three finalists have been chosen in a national search for a new dean of the University of Georgia College of Family and Consumer Sciences.They will visit campus in February and each will present a seminar open to the public.
The finalists and the dates of their seminars are:

The new dean will succeed Laura Jolly, who was named vice president for instruction at UGA last September. Anne Sweaney, a department head and longtime faculty member in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, is serving as interim dean.

The finalists were chosen by a search committee composed of faculty, staff, students and alumni from the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and chaired by Arthur Horne, dean of the College of Education.
