Four to be inducted into Circle of Honor

Former UGA All-Americans Kim Arnold (gymnastics), Bernadette Locke (basketball), Brent Noon (track and field) and Matt Stinchcomb (football) have been chosen for induction into UGA’s Circle of Honor-the university’s highest tribute paid to former athletes and coaches.

The quartet will be honored at an induction ceremony on Sept. 25 at Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall, where they will be permanently enshrined in the Circle of Honor exhibit. They also will be recognized at the Sept. 26 football game versus Arizona State University.

Arnold was a two-time winner of the Honda Award, Locke was UGA’s first female All-American, Noon was a three-time NCAA champion shot putter and Stinchcomb earned All-American and Academic All-American honors twice while playing for the football team.

The all-sports recognition program pays tribute to athletes and coaches who have brought honor to the university and themselves, and whose actions have contributed to the Bulldog tradition.
