As part of its $11 million aid package to Libya, the U.S. State Department plans to resume its Fulbright program of student and scholar exchanges with the country, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.
As part of the aid package, the U.S. will re-launch several programs besides the Fulbright, including English language training and providing funds for an Oberlin College archaeology project that will survey eastern Libya. The original Fulbright program was suspended when the U.S. shuttered its embassy in Libya in the midst of the African nation’s civil war.
