Fulbright teaching program in Turkey suspended for academic year

Citing security concerns, the U.S. State Department has suspended the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program in Turkey for the academic year, according to The New York Times.

Turkey and its institutions of higher education are still reeling from an attempted coup in July. Since the coup, every university dean in Turkey was forced to resign. Fulbright research grants in Turkey have not been affected.
