Georgia Strange, director of the Lamar Dodd School of Art, was elected to the board of directors of the College Art Association for the 2011-2015 term. The announcement of Strange and three other new board members came during the CAA 99th annual conference in New York City last month.
The 21-member board is comprised of professionals in the visual arts who are elected by the membership to serve four-year terms.
Founded in 1911, the College Art Association is the pre-eminent professional organization in the U.S. for scholars and practitioners of art, art history and art criticism.
