Seven Guilford College football players arrested for assault

Seven football players at Guilford College have been arrested and charged for beating up three Palestinian students, the Greensboro, N.C.-based News & Record reported.

Court documents show that up to 15 players from the North Carolina college were involved in the incident, in which they beat the Palestinians with their fists, feet and brass knuckles while using racial slurs.

Guilford College officials have stressed that what caused the incident is unknown. Although some have called this a “hate crime,” the school’s president, Kent Chabotar, has urged everyone to reserve judgment until the facts are determined.
