Ken Griffin, a Chicago hedge-fund chief, gave a $150 million donation to Harvard University largely to fund 200 full scholarships and matching for 600 others.
Griffin, a Harvard alumnus, told Harvard Magazine, “My goal with this gift is to help ensure that Harvard’s need-blind admission policy continues, and that our nation’s best and brightest have continued access to this outstanding institution.”
Of the donation, $10 million also went toward establishing a Griffin Professorship of Business Administration at Harvard Business School.
