In an effort to lessen the financial burden of applying to different graduate programs, Harvard Law School will begin accepting Graduate Record Examination scores in addition to the traditional LSAT scores in fall 2017, according to a news release issued by Harvard Law Today.
The GRE is accepted at many graduate institutions and is offered more frequently throughout the year than the LSAT, which is specific to law schools. The university’s decision is in keeping with a recent Harvard Law School study that found the GRE accurately predicted first-year law students’ grades to the same level as the LSAT.
