Harvard professor’s paper removed from journal for plagiarism

A Harvard University professor’s paper has been removed from a medical journal after it was discovered that part of the paper’s content was plagiarized, the Boston Globe reported.  The journal, Best Practice and Research Clinical Rheumatology, removed Lee S. Simon’s 2004 paper on arthritis treatment after it was discovered that Simon, an associate clinical professor of medicine, copied work from a paper by Roy Fleischmann, of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Simon’s article was one out of 70 papers discovered by a group of researchers at Texas Southwestern that could be the products of plagiarism.
