The 26th annual Alfred Heber Holbrook Memorial Lecture will be held Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Hosted by the Friends of the Georgia Museum of Art, the lecture is open free to the public.
This year’s lecture, “Marcel Duchamp and Jeff Koons: An Exercise in Circular Reasoning,” will be given by Francis M. Naumann, a gallery owner.
Naumann is the author of numerous articles, exhibition catalogues and books. Previously Naumann was an independent scholar and curator.
Following the lecture, a reception will be held in the Visual Arts Building on Jackson Street, where the museum’s offices are currently located.
