The university community will celebrate Honors Week 2022 from April 18-22 with a series of events that recognize excellence among students, staff, faculty and alumni.

Honors Week is an annual UGA tradition that dates to the 1930s, when then-Chancellor S.V. Sanford dedicated a day to recognize outstanding students. In 2011, the event was expanded to include events recognizing faculty, staff and alumni.

“Honors Week celebrates the commitment to excellence that defines the University of Georgia community,” said S. Jack Hu, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost. “Congratulations to all of the outstanding faculty, staff, students and alumni who are being recognized this year.”
