Houck to serve on Journal of Education Finance Editorial board

Athens, Ga. – University of Georgia education professor Eric Houck has been selected to serve as a member of the editorial review board for the Journal of Education Finance.

Houck, an assistant professor in the College of Education’s department of lifelong education, administration, and policy, has published several journal articles and book chapters and has presented more than 20 presentations highlighting his research efforts and findings.

Before coming to UGA in 2006, Houck worked as the business alliance coordinator for Wake County Public Schools, the director of partnerships and research for Wake Education Partnership and an English teacher for Charlotte-Mecklenberg Schools. He received his Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy from Vanderbilt University.

The Journal of Education Finance, a leading publication in the field of public school funding, publishes research on a variety of issues impacting education including judicial intervention in school finance, teacher salaries and education reform.
