UGA’s Department of International Student Life received the 2020 Best Practices in International Education Award for Intercultural Awareness & Programming from NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, specifically for ISL’s for-credit course ECHD 400 – Global Perspectives in Culture.
The award recognizes programs that encourage the development of intercultural competency, exposure to various cultures and perspectives of others, and allow students to engage in active self-reflection to develop self-awareness and understanding of the experiences of others from various cultural backgrounds.
