Holly S. Kaplan, a senior academic professional and certified audiologist in the College of Education, has been appointed to the Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Kaplan was one of two new members appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to the eight-member board to serve three-year terms to “protect the public health, safety and welfare and to protect the public from being misled by incompetent, unscrupulous and unauthorized persons.” The board meets monthly to review applications for licensure and to receive, investigate and adjudicate complaints against licensed speech language pathologists and audiologists.
