Linda Harklau, a professor in the College of Education’s department of language and literacy education, has been named an Outstanding Reviewer for 2009 by the American Educational Research Journal Section on Social and Institutional Analysis.
Harklau will be recognized for her work at the American Educational Research Association annual meeting in Denver on April 30.
Harklau’s research interests include second language acquisition in adolescents and adults, literacy and academic instruction for language for minority students, the role of culture and identity in second language learning and qualitative approaches to research in second language acquisition.
