Lynne Billard, professor of statistics, received the 2003 Founders Award from the American Statistical Association.
The award was presented for “outstanding leadership to the association in advancing its influence in education, international affairs and public policy; in making ASA more effective in advancing the role of women in the profession; and in strengthening ASA relationships with other societies; for leadership in engaging colleagues and students in the association; for highly effective service to ASA journals, committees, chapters, sections and the joint statistical meetings; and for outstanding service as ASA president.”
