Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Sports and Entertainment Law Society and Music Business Program will host the May Day Festival and Music Business Expo April 27 from noon to 8 p.m. at The Melting Point in downtown Athens. The event is free and open to the public. It is geared to musicians and people of all ages interested in the music industry.
The day will bring together the entire spectrum of musician resources, from luthiers and lawyers to publicists and publishers. The expo will run from noon to 5 p.m., and 15 bands will perform on two stages from 1-8 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will go to the law school’s student organization Sports and Entertainment Law Society and its community outreach programs, including the Protect Athens Music Program and clinics for musicians, and the music business program at the Terry College of Business.

Terry College of Business
