Annelies Mondi, deputy director of the Georgia Museum of Art, received the 2009 Museum Professional of the Year Award from the Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries at the organization’s annual conference in Marietta in January.
Each year, GAMG recognizes a museum or gallery employee in Georgia who is involved on the local, state and national level and who demonstrates leadership in the profession and works to promote the goals of GAMG. These goals include the growth and improvement of museums and galleries as well as the stimulation of public interest, support and understanding of those institutions.
