The UGA telephone system on the Athens campus may experience potential disruptions during network service maintenance May 30 from midnight to 7 a.m.
During the maintenance window, UGA’s on-campus telephone service may not be available.
The UGA Police Department will still respond to all calls for service during this time. It is important to use a cell phone to contact police from campus by calling 911 in the event of an emergency instead of 706-542-2200.
Members of the campus community are reminded that 911 is always the appropriate number to call for an emergency on campus, and that in the event of a future interruption in landline phone service at UGA, cell phones should be used to contact police.
