Olin Parker receives Presidential Award

Olin G. Parker, an emeritus professor of music and former associate director of the Hodgson School of Music, received a Presidential Award from the American Music Therapy Association. The AMTA’s Presidential Award is given to recognize individuals who, while not practicing music therapists, support the ideals, goals, and profession of music therapy.
Parker joined the UGA music faculty in 1964, and though retired, continues to teach the “Psychology of Music” course when needed.
