The UGA Performing Arts Center’s 25th anniversary season will run from October through May, and include three dozen performances by some of the world’s leading classical, roots music, dance and music theater artists.
The Performing Arts Center is pleased to offer discounted tickets to UGA faculty and staff in a special sale running Aug. 16-20, before single tickets go on sale Aug. 23. University employees may use the 10% discount code UGAP10 online, at the box office in the Performing Arts Center lobby (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) or by calling 706-542-4400.
“We want to make sure that faculty and staff take advantage of the resource that is the Performing Arts Center,” Performing Arts Center Director Jeffrey Martin said. “This is a program we started a few years ago to encourage them to join us here. As we celebrate our anniversary, we feel we have a lineup of artists our discerning colleagues will love to see.”
Notable performances in the coming season include “Bluegrass & Christmas” by Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder (Dec. 21) and “Seven Things I’ve Learned: An Evening with Ira Glass” (March 19), with the host, creator and producer of “This American Life.” The 25th anniversary gala performance (April 24) features six-time Tony Award-winning Broadway, television and film star Audra McDonald.
