The Performing Arts Center will present Ran Dank and Soyeon Kate Lee in a duo piano recital Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. in Ramsey Concert Hall.

The talented young couple, who also happen to be married to each other, will perform a program featuring piano versions of Stravinsky’s landmark ballets, “The Firebird,” “Petrushka” and “The Rite of Spring.”

Tickets for the recital are $28 for the general public and free to UGA students with a valid ID card. Tickets can be purchased online at pac.uga.edu or by calling 706-542-4400.

A native of Israel, Dank has performed as a soloist with major symphony orchestras around the world including the Orchestra of St. Luke’s at Lincoln Center, the Orquestra de Valencia in Spain and the Cleveland Orchestra as laureate of the Cleveland International Piano Competition. The Juilliard graduate was awarded first prize at both the Young Concert Artists International Auditions and the Hilton Head International Piano Competition, and he was a prizewinner at the Naumburg Piano Competition and the Sydney International Piano Competition.

Lee already has been praised by The Washington Post for her “stunning command of the keyboard.” She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Juilliard where she won every award granted to a pianist including the Rachmaninoff Concerto Competition. She has been featured on the cover of Symphony magazine’s annual “Emerging Artists” issue and in Musical America’s “More Thrills of Discovery.” In her spare time, the Korean-American artist designs her own concert gowns.

Dank and Lee’s recital will be recorded for broadcast on American Public Media’s Performance Today, heard by more than 1.3 million listeners across the country.
