Applications are being accepted for the position of public service faculty in the Office of International Public Service and Outreach.
Specific responsibilities of the position include: developing effective partnerships with teaching, research, and public service units to enhance the international public service and outreach mission; researching appropriate grant funding opportunities and preparing grant proposals in response to RFAs; assisting with assembling and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams in the development and implementation stages of international projects; coordinating and writing project reports, press releases and project proposals, among other various writing assignments; planning, organizing, and coordinating special projects and events as a capacity building programmatic functions; serving as liaison with development organizations, NGOs and private sector partners on the implementation of development projects; and maintaining the Faculty International Expertise Database.
A master’s degree is required but a Ph.D. is preferred in an appropriate discipline—political science, public administration, higher education, applied economics, environment and natural resources or related fields—and/or comparable professional experience. Knowledge of one major foreign language is preferred.
