Priority purchase period begins Aug. 21 for single-ticket Performing Arts Center events

Beginning Aug. 21, the Performing Arts Center will offer UGA faculty, staff and students a priority purchase period to order single tickets for the 2006-2007 season. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Aug. 28.

The Performing Arts Center’s upcoming season will feature a diverse selection of the world’s most outstanding musical talent, including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Sweet Honey In The Rock, the Hungarian Symphony Orchestra, Opera Verdi Europa in Puccini’s Turandot, bluegrass band Kentucky Reign and the Castilian music of La Musgaña. Classical and contemporary dance will be showcased in an eclectic series with the Atlanta Ballet, the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble and the Moscow Festival Ballet’s Don Quixote.
