Professor appointed to federal committee

Brenda Cude, a professor of financial planning, housing and consumer economics in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, was appointed by the U.S. Treasury Department to the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance. She is one of two consumer advocates on the committee; the other 19 members are state regulators, insurance executives and an insurance professor.
