Carl Glickman has returned to UGA as Scholar-in-Residence in the educational administration and policy program. The two-year appointment was effective Nov. 1.
EDAP is a highly focused graduate program in the department of lifelong education, administration and policy aimed at preparing a new generation of outstanding school leaders, scholars and policy researchers.
Glickman, a professor emeritus of the College of Education, will teach and collaborate with faculty and students on various initiatives related to public education, according to Ronald Cervero, professor of adult education and head of the department.
Prior to his return to UGA, Glickman held the first endowed chair in education at Texas State University in San Marcos.
During his career at the University of Georgia, which spanned more than two decades, Glickman served in numerous leadership roles on university, state and national commissions to improve schools, teacher education and academic programs.
