Public Policy Institute

As part of the 25th anniversary year of National Issues Forums, UGA’s Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, the Honors Program and Albany State University’s Estus Smith Vineyard Healing Foundation Center for Public Deliberation and Engagement will co-sponsor a Public Policy Institute June 9-10 at the Jimmy Carter Library in Atlanta.

An issue-framing workshop will be held June 9 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., while a moderator training workshop will be held June 10 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. A National Issues Forum will be held in the Town Hall of the Carter Library on June 10 from 10 a.m.-noon and is open to the public.

Advance registration is required for all institute participants. The cost is $35 ($25 for students) a day or $70 ($50 for students) for both days. Checks should be made payable to the University of Georgia and sent to Rebecca Cheney, Honors Program, UGA, Moore College, Athens, Ga. 30602. The deadline to register is May 19.
