Research participants sought

The Maternal and Child Nutrition Research Laboratory is currently conducting studies to evaluate how the type of infant feeding affects body composition. Pregnant test subjects, both diabetic and non-diabetic, are needed.

Potential test subjects should be at least 18 years old and in their third trimester. The study is open to mothers intending to formula feed and breastfeed their babies.

Mothers and their babies will be measured on a regular basis, including at 36 weeks gestation, two weeks, one month, two months and three months after delivery.

Compensation includes $150 per week, and participants will also get a copy of both the anthropometric and body composition measurements and results.

For further information, contact the Maternal and Child Nutrition Research Laboratory by phone at (706) 542-7611 or e-mail Dawn McDougald, dmmcdoug@uga.edu, or Alex Anderson, anderson@fcs.uga.edu.
