Research travel grants

The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies has received a Tinker Foundation field research grant to provide travel funds for graduate students carrying out pre-thesis or pre-dissertation research in Spanish and Portuguese-speaking Latin America and the Caribbean during summer 2004. The Graduate School provides additional funds for this program.

This is the third year in a row CLACS has received a Tinker field research grant. In 2003, 16 students from eight UGA departments received travel awards to carry out summer research in 12 Latin American or Caribbean countries. For information about the travel award competition for this year, see the CLACS Web site, www.clacs.uga.edu, or call 583‑0619.
