Rick Tarleton to chair NIH committee

Rick Tarleton, UGA Distinguished Research Professor of Tropical and Emerging Global Diseases, will chair the Immunity and Host Defense Study Section of the Center for Scientific Review, National Institutes of Health. The members of a study section are scientists in that field who review scientific grant proposals submitted to the NIH for funding. Tarleton will serve a two-year term.
