SBDC workshop

UGA’s Small Business Development Center and the Enterprise Innovation Institute at Georgia Tech will present a workshop to explain how the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Grant Programs work.

This workshop will cover how to determine who qualifies, what the participating federal agencies are looking for, what the intellectual property issues are, what the funding limits are, and what the timeline is.

The workshop also will address how to prepare a
competitive proposal for SBIR and STTR funding, how to approach the proposal, what points need to be addressed, how to construct the budget, examples of good and bad proposals and sources of assistance.

The program, which costs $25, runs from 8 a.m.-noon Feb. 11 at the Small Business Development Center office, located in the Chicopee Complex at 1180 East Broad St. The deadline to register to Feb. 10.
