Nearly half of all employed college graduates are holding jobs that do not require their degrees.
That’s according to a study from the Center for College Affordability and Productivity, which estimates that nearly half of all 2010 U.S. college graduates hold jobs that require less than a bachelor’s degree.
Study co-author Richard Vedder said that students are graduating at a rate that’s higher than the rate high-skilled jobs are becoming available.
The study is at odds with research that suggests that college grads are more employable and better paid than their nondegree recipients.
