Taste of Home at UGA Food Services will return for its 26th year on Nov. 21.
All dining commons will serve selected breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes submitted by students’ families. The Niche on UGA’s Health Sciences Campus also will serve items for lunch. Meal prices will be the same as the current cash price: $9 for breakfast, $11.25 for lunch and $15.50 for dinner.
The menu features side dishes, entrees and desserts ranging from “Banana Bread-to-French Toast” for breakfast to “Alaska Avalanche Pizza” for lunch to “Cranberry Pork Tenderloin” for dinner to “Brownie Trifle” for dessert.
This year, 889 recipes were submitted from 499 families, and 154 recipes were chosen to be on the menu. Family members with featured recipes receive a commemorative plate, a production recipe for 8,000 servings (the approximate number of students the dining halls serve on a daily basis) and two tickets to the event.
