Teaching awards nominations

Nominations for the Provost’s Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award and the Graduate School’s Excellence in Teaching Award are due Jan. 16. Nominees must have fulfilled TA policy, have taught at least once within the last two terms and be enrolled full time in the semester of application. Further details for eligibility are included on respective award applications.

Departments may nominate up to 10 percent of their eligible TAs or laboratory assistants for the Outstanding Teaching Award. Departments may nominate one eligible TA or LA who has received or is being concurrently nominated for the OTA for the Excellence in Teaching Award. Only candidates who have demonstrated superior teaching skills and have contributed to teaching beyond their own classroom responsibilities should be nominated.
