Ron Carlson, holder of the Fuller E. Callaway Chair of Law Emeritus at the School of Law, told CBS News he hopes the trial involving Atlanta Public School educators indicted in a school cheating scandal will bring some clarity to the situation. Carlson said he suspects some of the defendants will argue former district superintendent Beverly Hall is responsible.
“The main question is will the jury buy that?” Carlson said. “If there are a number of acquittals based on the defense that the superintendent made us do this, things will remain clouded for a while.”
