Two UGA College of Education graduate students have received scholarships for the 2003-04 academic year from Kappa Delta Pi, an international education honor society.
Amy Lockwood, a master’s student in social science education from Lawrenceville, was one of five graduate students across the nation to be awarded KDP’s Counselor’s Scholarship.
Thomas Van Soelen, a doctoral student in elementary education, was awarded KDP’s Henry Hill Laureate Scholarship. The scholarship is one of seven the KDP Educational Foundation awards annually for doctoral students in each of seven major areas of study. The Henry Hill scholarship is for those majoring in the field of educational administration and supervision (higher education, supervision and leadership).
