UGA freshman receives 2011 Henry King Stanford Scholarship

Emmy Feinberg, an incoming first-year student at the University of Georgia, has been awarded the Henry King Stanford Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Feinberg is from Atlanta and graduated from Chattahoochee High School. She is the daughter of Ian and Betty Ann Feinberg.

The scholarship is named in honor of former UGA President Henry King Stanford for his outstanding service to the university and his over 40-year career in higher education.

The award provides $3,000 per year to incoming Honors students with exceptional high school academic credentials.

The scholarship can be renewed for an additional three years of undergraduate study if recipients maintain certain academic standards of the Honors Program.
