UGA Alumni Association to host Alumni Weekend

The University of Georgia is welcoming home alumni and friends for the 2019 Alumni Weekend to feel like a student again and see what campus life is like in 2019.

The University of Georgia Alumni Association is inviting alumni and friends to participate in its 2019 Alumni Weekend March 21-23 in Athens. Faculty and staff are invited to attend and can help spread the word to others.

“This entire weekend is going to make you feel like a student again,” said Meredith Gurley Johnson, executive director of the UGA Alumni Association. “Our alumni look back fondly on their time at UGA, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to host Alumni Weekend to allow them to relive those great years when they were exploring their passions, making new friends and setting the foundation for the rest of their lives.”

Alumni Weekend will introduce attendees to campus life today and allow them to recall memories of their own time as a student. The weekend will include:

Attendees are encouraged to customize their weekend on the afternoon and evening of March 23 by participating in optional, self-selected activities such as a UGA vs. LSU baseball game, a Georgia Museum of Art tour, musical performance, tour of the renovated West End Zone in Sanford Stadium, a self-guided campus tour and more.

The cost to attend Alumni Weekend is $150/person or $250/couple. This includes four meals, classes, a reception, TEDxUGA ticket and spirited giveaways, but not accommodations.
