Due to the threat of inclement weather, the University of Georgia Athens campus will close early at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 22. Classes scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. or later are canceled. Previously designated staff should report under the emergency weather plan.
Campus Transit
Campus Transit buses will operate until 3:30 p.m. and then cease operations. Because of the threat of inclement weather and in the interest of safety, Campus Transit will not run buses on Saturday, January 23. It is expected transit operations will continue to operate as normal on Sunday, January 24, starting at noon.
Dining Commons
The dining commons will close as normal today with the exception of the Niche.
— Snelling closes at 2:30 p.m.
— Bolton, OHouse and Summit close at 8 p.m.
— The Niche will remain open until 6 p.m.
On Saturday, the dining commons will open as normal. Bolton and the Summit will open at 8:30 a.m. and OHouse, Snelling and the Niche will be closed.
