The University of Georgia’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day is moving online.

While most of the originally scheduled events have been canceled or postponed, others have been adapted to take place online, and several new events have been added.

Most notably, the UGA Earth (Art) Day Challenge, open to the university and Athens community, to create an online exhibition of creative works expressing how participants are connecting with and appreciating the Earth, people or other living creatures during this time of uncertainty, and how this can inspire an even better future. The deadline for entry is April 19, and selected submissions will be displayed in a virtual gallery during Earth Week. See https://sustainability.uga.edu/earth-day-art/ for details and to enter.
