UGA students will aim for two victories against the University of Florida this weekend. As the football teams go head to head, UGA Miracle will compete against Florida’s Dance Marathon program in a rivalry fundraising challenge.
Throughout the week, UGA Miracle will rally the Bulldog Nation to raise funds for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, while Florida does the same for its local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. The official count begins Oct. 29 and the winner will be announced Nov. 2.

Last year, more than 1,600 students raised $683,251 for Children’s, bringing its total amount raised to more than $4.7 million in the past 20 years. Its capstone event is Dance Marathon, a 24-hour event held in late February in the Tate Student Center.
