UGA online programs earn several top 10 rankings

Several of the University of Georgia’s online programs placed among the nation’s top 10 in the latest edition of the U.S. News & World Report best online programs rankings.

“The University of Georgia’s commitment to providing outstanding and accessible learning experiences extends beyond the physical classrooms on our campuses,” said S. Jack Hu, the university’s senior vice president for academic affairs and provost. “These rankings affirm the quality and national reputation of our online programs that allow students to be a part of UGA wherever they are.”

At the master’s level, the Mary Frances Early College of Education’s programs ranked seventh overall, tied with two other universities. Those same programs were ranked No. 1 as the best online master’s in education programs for veterans.

The College of Education’s online graduate programs were also recognized in several specialty categories, each of which moved higher up in the top 10 rankings compared to 2022. The rankings include:

Also at the graduate level, the Terry College of Business’ online master’s degree in business and technology led the college to No. 4 in the nation for Best Online Master’s in Business Programs. The innovative program is designed to teach the intersection of business management and IT for working professionals.

UGA improved in the overall bachelor’s online programs ranking, rising from No. 16 to 14. This ranking is based on the university’s online bachelor’s in special education, which allows individuals currently employed as paraprofessionals to earn a degree that advances their careers.
