Wireless network

Soon every classroom and congregation space on campus will receive a wireless Internet signal, thanks to a new university program. The wireless classroom project is funded by the student technology fee. Through this fee, students are contributing $580,000 this year to the wireless classroom project.

The university currently offers wireless access to students via its Personal Access Wireless/Walkup System, which covers parts, but not all of campus.

PAWS will be extended to classrooms and areas on campus that attract students. The multi-year project will bring wireless access to 264 classrooms in 48 buildings. Approximately two-thirds of these classrooms will be covered by the end of June.
