Writing Intensive Program issues call for course proposals

The Franklin College Writing Intensive Program invites proposals from arts and sciences faculty in all disciplines for innovative courses that encourage writing.

The Writing Intensive Program (WIP) aims to enhance undergraduate education by emphasizing the importance of writing in the disciplines by offering “writing-intensive” courses throughout the college—from classics to chemistry, from music to microbiology.

Faculty who teach WIP courses are supported by a Writing Intensive Program teaching assistant, who is specially trained in writing-in-the-disciplines pedagogy.

Please visit www.wip.uga.edu to find proposal forms and guidelines, as well as information about the program. The deadline for proposal submissions is March 13. Please direct questions to the director, Lindsey Harding, at lharding@uga.edu.
